James Travis, JD, CPL
Founder
James brings more than two decades of experience acquiring and divesting operated and non operated oil and gas assets throughout the Midland and Delaware Basins and other major producing regions across the United States. His career includes leadership roles with Hunt Oil, Talisman Energy, Southwestern Energy, and Chesapeake Energy.
Today, James focuses on sourcing relationship driven, off market Non Operated Working Interest opportunities backed by experienced operators with proven execution records. His extensive industry relationships and disciplined investment philosophy form the foundation of TexRock’s sourcing strategy.
Scott McMahon, PE
GP - Managing Partner
Scott is a licensed Professional Engineer and seasoned entrepreneur with executive leadership experience spanning engineering, real estate, capital investment, and business development. His ability to combine technical analysis with strategic decision making helps guide TexRock’s disciplined investment approach.
Scott is a Registered Professional Engineer in five states with extensive knowledge and experience in Real Estate transactions, engineering and survey.
Chris Sullivan, JD
Counsel - Deal Sourcing
Chris is the founder of Sullivan Law Offices and plays an integral role in TexRock’s investment process. Chris provides legal support and opinion on deal acquisitions, contract negotiations, risk assessment, closing support, and corporate governance for investment opportunities.
His practical legal expertise and deep network across the North Texas business community strengthen TexRock’s ability to efficiently evaluate and structure quality investments.
Corey Kellam, JD
Counsel - Transactions
Corey serves as Managing Partner of Sullivan Law Offices, overseeing the firm’s litigation and transactional practice. His background includes senior corporate counsel roles advising closely held businesses, real estate transactions, private placements, and complex commercial agreements.
At TexRock, Corey supports transaction execution, legal structuring, and corporate governance while helping ensure every investment is backed by disciplined legal oversight.
